Mastro's Ocean Club

Have eaten here so many times that I have come to expect five star service and five star food. This particular visit was only a three star visit at best. Server didn't have his head in the game and the kitchen didn't either. I spent over $1300 on food and drinks, would have expected five stars from this establishment.

UPDATE: Received a call from the GM, had a great conversation and I can tell they genuinely cared and wanted to make the situation right. This is how business is done!

Impeccable service, wonderful food! We asked to be seated at a different table where it was a bit quieter, and they immediately accommodated us. Such a wonderful special occasion venue!

Went here for Valentines day. The place was packed when we arrived, which was expected. We were seated really quick our server came and gave us menus. He didn't go over the specials with us like he did with the other tables. Once we started eating one of the other waiters knock over my water. Tablecloth was really wet after. Management came buy to apologize. Which I thought was cool so I let it go. Food was pretty pricey but delish. We didn't get dessert because we were too full, over all I say I had a great experience.

It is with great pleasure that I write this review. I have been going to this Mastro’s for years. The food is fantastic, the music is great (live band), the ambiance fun, and the service is outstanding. Philip G. (Manager) makes every visit extra special. I’ve never known anyone to go above and beyond as he does. He even managed to make magic happen when we were celebrating a momentous occasion in Chicago. A night that could have ended someplace dull and uneventful turned into a wonderful night we will never forget. Thank you, Philip, for everything. You’re truly amazing.

Been coming here for years and always a lovely time. Delicious food and great atmosphere! Usually sit near a window around 5pm but with our large group we had reservation for 630 on a Friday night at a round table.
The first hour was quite loud and hard to converse. Then quieted a lot so it was easier to hear each other. Next time we will coordinate our time a little more with the "slower" times for our personal preference.
