The smoked turkey was the best I have ever eaten, IMHO. Also, loved the potato salad. I will go back just for those 2 items. The rest however, was pretty average.

The Ribs, Brisket, and beans were average, and there are only 2 BBQ sauce flavors. Basically, the smoked turkey and potato salad are the only reasons for the 3-star food. I thought both were solid 4-5s. If they weren't so good...I would given a slightly lower rating on the food.

The service was very friendly, competent, and prompt,

That said, I definitely prefer Tom's Thumb for BBQ in N Scottsdale, but...if you are a smoked turkey fan, or even if you "kinda like" smoked turkey...you gotta try this place.

I've been seeing this place under construction for the past several months and was very eager to try it when it finally opened up 3 weeks ago but just didn't have the chance what with Thanksgiving at all. Finally went and give it a try and was very confused by the whole process because this place does not do your traditional two or three meats and a side plate that you were really accustomed to getting in any barbecue restaurant. This place, you simply purchased the meats by the pound or half pound or quarter pound and then you buy your side separately also to note, this place has no macaroni and cheese on the premises. How a barbecue restaurant can exist without macaroni and cheese is beyond me. The food itself was good id say. The juicy brisket was juicy although wasn't all that hot. The pork ribs were also kind of just barely warm and just not all that fresh or soft if that's the right word, tasting just kind of hard. The corn on the cob only came with one stick on one end so you had to hold the other end of the very extremely hot corn to eat it - made no sense. The only saving grace I would say would have to be the turkey. The turkey breast was absolutely scrum diddlyumptious and probably the only reason I would go back. The atmosphere is good, it's nice it's very large the people are friendly but ultimately it's just a very confused overall vibe. Also, 3 1/4lbs of meat and a corn on the cob should not coat $28 pre tax. The prices are absolutely out of control...

Decided to try this new location out since they have on here in Scottsdale now and I don’t have to drive to Chandler to get it. Came in the mid afternoon and the place was fairly quiet but I enjoyed that. The restaurant was clean and well staffed and very friendly and helpful. I had the pulled pork sandwich with sausage with beans and 2 baby back ribs. Everything tasted great.

Good stuff. Need better portion control. I ordered a 1/4 lb of both lean and moist brisket and got almost a half pound each. I'm not gonna send it back 😂
