Dickeys Barbecue Pit

We had a brisket plate and a brisket/kielbasa. Meat was tasty, but on one meal was a bit dry. The kielbasa did not have a lot of flavor, and appeared to be a little overcooked. This was a late lunch... meat might have been sitting for a while. Sides were good; we had green beans, bbq beans, and potato salad. Bread with the meat plates was also good. Staff was helpful and pleasant. Restaurant was clean.

Very good. Meat was very tender and seasoned just right. Sides were a perfect compliment. Staff is friendly and hospitable.

BBQ joints are all about the sauce.

If you love a good sauce to douse your delicious smoked meats with, this place has one for you. While the meats and the sides where pretty on par with a chain barbecue spot(you should give the fried okra a sampling), the sauce is really where this place shines. You can taste the brown sugar in the sweet variant and the heat level is perfectly blended into the spicy one. Go enjoy a meal, and buy some sauce to use at home on your way out!
