Food here is fresh. I can tell they use better ingredients than some of the other places nearby. Great atmosphere. Thank you Mr. Mesquite! Will definitely be back. ????
Mr. Mesquite missed the mark for me on several levels. I went to the new location that just opened in Surprise. You can't order on-line at this location so had to call in my order. I wanted a three taco combo plate. The website at other locations says the combo comes with a drink. Not here. Oh well. The website is also confusing and difficult to find what each item has on it regarding toppings etc. As such, I ordered with everything. Mistake. If you look at my photos there are three tacos in that pile of mess. Total overkill on the peppers and onions. Was very difficult to separate the tacos. Oh and not sure that those are serrano peppers. Looked and tasted more like bell peppers. As for the tacos, the only thing good I can say is they lived up to the mesquite name as far as that flavor. Very nice mesquite flavor once you got through all the toppings. Rice was good but the beans - awful! The beans had absolutely no flavor. Zero. Zilch. Nada flavor. I MAY go back. Would only add guac and grilled onions to the tacos and pass on the beans. Overall a three star experience and that might be a little generous.
They need experienced people hear to help train the new employees not just one guy trying to do it all. 10 min wait for chicken, out of ice and it’s really warm in the dining room. Employees were friendly and nice but man it was awkward as you could tell they were struggling.
The menu doesn’t tell you what comes in the items.
Two steak tacos
Chicken Supreme quesadilla
Two drinks and chips and salsa
Was $22.27 with tax
Ouch!!!
First day open, and you can tell there’s just a little fine tuning that’s needed. Stopped by for some tacos. Warm inside from the front door being open. Seemed like there was too many employees making the food and it wasn’t as fast as it could be. But they’re probably just training everyone. Tacos were pretty good but the meat was a little dry and over cooked. Decent prices. Hoping they get better with a little more time being open.
The food is really good and reasonably priced for the amount you get. The tables at this point in time are nicely spaced and the best part is that there’s not a bunch of “covid” paraphernalia all up in your face. Very nice establishment, I would highly recommend it!!!
