Zu Izakaya Asian Kitchen Bar

This is our favorite sushi place in the Phoenix area now. The environment is clean and relaxing, the staff was kind and attentive, and we really enjoyed the sushi rolls we ate. The happy hour deals for rolls were really generous.

Went and did a small plate sampling since it was Happy Hour in the bar all night. The food was tasty and sake was good. It was a bit loud but not unbearable.

The staff has always been friendly here and you get your food pretty fast too. The food is very great and I always order a different hot pot each time since it easily serves a few people! Great place to just order a bunch of different things to share with friends. They have spicy options as well for people like me who really like it spicy

While mostly Japanese, there are all influences from all other parts of the Asian world. There is one thing in common and that all the food is excellent. Tempura is nice, crispy and not greasy. Sushi is well made. We went during the Happy Hour (which has a lot more variety than most Happy Hours I've seen), but also selected items off the main menu. Can't wait to get back and try other items off the menu (hot pots looked amazing). Prices are quite reasonable and service was friendly and attentive. Really worth seeking out.

The bar portion is okay... bartender isn't very conversational nor too friendly. The restaurant side is nice and they're always wonderful over there. The food is good. I go for the Poke bowl & their Happy Hour specials.
