Ike's Love & Sandwiches

Ike's makes the best sandwiches, hands down. Last time I was in San Francisco, where it's from, I tried to go to the original Ike's to find out he was evicted and had to find a new location because it was so busy! Get a sandwich with dirty sauce and ask for extra. Every store has a slightly different menu on the wall. You can go to the website and see what's at each of the different locations and order any sandwich you like, even if it's not on your city's menu. I always get the Barry B., no tomatoes, plus banana peppers, extra bacon and extra dirty sauce. I always go for the sourdough bread, but I've heard the Dutch crunch is pretty good, too.

Loved the sandwich but am wondering if the prices are in line for the Tempe Market. Did he bring San Francisco prices down here? Also just ordered a basic turkey and cheese sandwich which luckily they made for me as it wasn't on the menu. Also would love to see brewed ice tea.

It was my first time in today and I chose the Papa Sam, which was a salmon burger. I definitely made the right choice! The salmon was cooked to perfection and the flavor was incredibly savory. I also chose the world famous Dutch bread and that didn't disappoint. The digs were small and quaint with a few signature decorations on the way and spunky wall colors. The staff was cordial but not intrusive. Kinda pricey but you get what you pay for!
I'd recommend this to anyone looking for unique sandwiches or just a one of a kind spot!

I am the world's pickiest eater. With that being said, the sandwich the employee recommended to me tasted like what I imagine God's butthole tastes like, SO GOOD! The woman working was quirky and informative, made wonderful suggestions, and had the perfect personality to be working with people. I can understand how people have had bad experiences, that happens... but my experience was pleasant. The sandwiches are worth the price and the wait just ensures you're food is fresh. LOVE IT.

I had the very best pastrami sandwich I've ever had here but there was only one person working there literally. He took the order and then had to go back and make the sandwiches. We almost left because it was ridiculously slow and the people ahead of us were very annoyed. BUT the sandwich was truly amazing!! I can't understand how that happened but there was only one guy working totally on his own. I'm assuming my experience was unique so I'm basing my review on that. The wait was awful but honestly, the pastrami sandwich they made was worth it. Had some kind of sauce that I couldn't replicate at home. I have no idea what it was but it was really amazing.
