Sal's Pizza

Order take out from here about once a week, always great pizza!

This has been my #1 Pizza place, I'm from NY and this is the closest I have found to actual "NY Pizza". I live in Tempe, and I'm happy this spot is only 2 miles away from me, been here about 2-3 times per week for the last 6 months and never had a bad slice of Pizza!

Best late night snack. This pizza is not 5-star dinning but it is an amazing place to simply enjoy a good pizza.

Coming from New York, Sal's was the second place we found to have New York style pizza. Their Sicilian is amazing! However, the Sal's in Tempe is nowhere as good as the Sal's in Mesa. The Tempe location isn't a restaurant to sit down and eat. It is a quick slice or take out. Also the staff isn't as friendly, stood there for five minutes before I was even acknowledged, and then he told me to give him a few minutes. After watching him talk to another employee for 10 min he finally address me. I was treated as if I was nothing more than a burden to him and rushed. He even rolled his eyes when I bothered him to ask for the parmesan cheese and red peppers. If you have a little extra time visit the Sal's in Mesa where they treat you like family.

Excellent place, clean peaceful atmosphere, friendly staff and quick quality service. The pizza and cheesy bread sticks were nice and hot. The crust on the pizza was like a thin to pan crust, it was perfect as I hate that thick chewy dough crust. Toppings were plentiful and fresh. The size of a slice is about the size of three slices. The options are great, the prices are perfect!
