The Jamaican patties are the best! I had Rasta Pasta as well! Will definitely be going back!

I recently moved into the area and was excited to see Carribean Queen was in walking distance. As a vegetarian, I was more excited to see that they offer vegan options. I absolutely love jerk seasoning/sauces and was eager to try the vegan jerk chicken. Although I had to order take-out due to the current pandemic, it exceeded my expectations. The flavors worked really well together. I couldn't get enough! The fried plantains were amazing as well! I was also happy to support a local, black-owned business. I can't wait to actually dine-in regularly here.

Been here once for dine-in before the pandemic and once for take-out during. Both times, the food was incredible. As a flexitarian, I really appreciate their commitment to providing well-made vegan options. Having tried the vegan and non-vegan options, I can say that they are both equally delicious. I only left off one star due to the fact that during our dine-in experience, the service was a bit slow, (I work in the food industry so I wouldn't mention it if it was a negligible amount of time) and the cocktails at that time left something to be desired. That was a while ago, and I did notice when I went for take-out, that they had improved their liquor selection, so maybe the cocktails have improved along with it! Great local restaurant, all in all though.

We wanted to taste some Caribbean food as I have heard a lot that their spices are very identical to ours. There is a lot of things that will need some changes which might help them. Although it might be me feeling this way.

    1. The ambience: The interior has excess of black color making it very gloomy, different palate of color might help. The furnitures were black so were the cutlery.

    2. We have tried different dishes there. Kebab it was good but the chicken was very dry. The spice was ok ok. Next dish was Cuban beans, which was decent. The sprinkle of spice on top was giving a nice kick to it. Next dish was the chicken curry. It has flavor and taste and was really good but I would have liked it a bit more spicy. Next dish that we have tried was the jerk taco. Liked it again, but chicken was dry that’s the only concern. We have also tried two desserts rum cake ( that was delicious) and donut balls with apple it was okay ( forgot the name)

    Parking no issue.
