First time, not our last! The reviews were correct; large portions and excellent flavor. My wife had the tamale breakfast and it was outstanding. The chicken fried steak with gravy was perhaps the best I’ve ever had.
Had breakfast there this morning. Our server was Emmery. She was very polite, super professional, and extremely pleasant to talk to. The food was delicious and the coffee hit the spot. We will definitely be back.
Hard to get 5⭐ from me.
Atmosphere is inviting. Not overly warm and fuzzy but not dive bar restaurant by any means. Clean and neat. That leads to a higher noise level than I'd like but it means i won't stay as long either and that's part of the game.
Service was prompt. Server polite and attentive enough without being intrusive. I never felt neglected. Half capacity the food came in fair time.
1. Biscuit and gravy breakfast with a side of sausage patties. A plate full of food it was. Plates were warm...not hot (ideally) but the food was. Even the gravy was hot. The sausage patties appear hand formed- haven't seen that in forever. A nice touch. *These are a $3.50 addition. The meal is serve with their home fried potatoes. These potatoes are well prepared. My only complaint would be there simply far too many of them! The serving with the rest of this meal is simply too much
2. Green chili omelet. (Not currently shown on the menu) overall very good. Not heavy on greasy cheese. Green chili was hot but not crazy. Topped with cilantro the omelet was fluffy not flat. Would ask for an extra side of green chili next time.
Coffe is hot. A bit pricey. And for a black drinker its pretty rich. I personally prefer a lighter roast in the raw.
Out the door for about $38. In today's world that's a fair price. Eager to go back and try something different in the near future.
Three of us met here for lunch at 11:30 on a Friday. We were seated right away. 2 had breakfast and 1 had lunch. Service and food were very good. We will definitely come back.
