Old Town Taste

So delicious! My husband and I went for dinner after reading the reviews and this place did not disappoint. The rice was probably our favorite dish. We had the traditional (which was a mixed rice). We also had the spicy chicken and the sautéed beef. We will definitely be back to try more dishes. The dishes were spicy, but they have a large selection of non-spicy dishes.

The food here was pretty good. My boyfriend got the chicken fried noodles and I got the fried lamb with scallion pancakes as our appetizer. The scallion pancakes were a bit hard but Idk if that's by design or if it was the cooking. All the dishes were a bit salty also. I liked the ambiance though and the staff was nice. Also I think that rice should come with the lamb meal but it does not and was extra.

The BEST veggie fried rice I've ever had in my life! It's so flavorful and filling, and my 2 picky kids even ate it! My boyfriend orders the chicken fried rice every time. Those 2 along with Mongolian tofu are too delicious to try anything else. The mongolian tofu is spicy enough for me but too spicy for my 5 year old.

Everyone we've interacted with is very nice, caring, and gives great customer service. They always bring plastic bowls and utensils and cups with lids for my children. There are tables and booths for seating, and even when it's busy you don't feel like you're waiting all that long for your food. There are traditional and American Chinese food options on the menu. They play Chinese music while you dine, check on you, and are generally good about timely water refills.

The chicken we ordered was absolutely delicious! The outside was so perfectly crispy and the chicken tasted almost sweet when biting into it and then the spicy taste comes enveloping it after. It was so good I think it topped my favorite fried chicken place. I also tried their spicy fish which was also very good when I was eating it however when I went to drink my water it made the water taste salty? sour? I’m not sure how exactly to describe it but whatever spices were used messed with my taste buds. The fish itself tasted amazing though. My family ended taking the fish home and mixing it with some vegetables. Mellowing out the taste seemed to get rid of the saltiness problem.

Very nice! Authentic Chinese food in a clean dining environment. Some cool Chinese rap and pop music in the background creates a cool modern vibe. Both traditional Chinese food and the Americanized Chinese food are provided in the menu. Both southern and northern Chinese food are covered. A great place for a casual dining in with friends or small family group eat out.
