The Porch

The Porch has an awesome laid back atmosphere! I ordered a Bloody Mary and it was amazing and just the right amount of spice! I also ordered the Mexican breakfast bowl with shrimp and it was fantastic, I highly recommend it!! I also ordered the churro donuts with chocolate sauce for our table. The donuts were pretty good but the chocolate sauce was nasty. Its definitely a Hershey syrup base but they added chilis to it, but it is not the right flavor profile at all. Either needs to be made with a different type of chili or just scrap the chili addition all together. Had the sauce not been so awful I would've totally scored this place with 5 stars.

Server was great, only reason the experience was pleasurable. Had fried pickles.. they were great!! But, everything else was a mess.. kitchen really needs to get ironed out.. great potential tho. Had the green chili mac (came out room temperature), chicken sandwich (chicken good but scarce on toppings), both fries (over the top salty), salad (teeny tiny). At least the manager was awesome and took our feedback to heart and explained there are still some kinks to workout. Atmosphere fun, great drinks!! We will try again maybe in a month or so when the kitchen has had some time to gel.

I don’t typically write reviews but when I do it’s because the service was absolutely amazing.

My server Brandon was off the charts! I mean, he did exceptionally well by refilling our drinks, making recommendations and actually having a personality. Because the service was so great, I will definitely be telling everyone to come try it out (and make sure to be seated in Brandon’s section).
