Tokyo Joe's - Tempe

The ladies working at this location are an absolute delight. I’m working grub hub and not sure if there’s an issue with the app or what but these ladies are going above and beyond to fix the issue. They even provided me with water. Thank you!!

Customer service was amazing! The food, as always, was made exactly as we wanted. My family consists of active fitness enthusiasts with dietary needs based around natural bodybuilding. Tokyo Joe's provides many meals that give us the flexibility to eat in a way that fits our lifestyle.

Sushi rolls taste fine; nothing exceptional. No nigiri or sashimi. Paste wasabi. Water at the soda fountain tastes bad. Chipotle style “service”. Price is comparable to better sushi restaurants.

I went here for a quick and healthy lunch after a workout. The team members were pretty amazing and the food was made very well. They even made my steak medium well as requested. My meal of choice was the the Bento Box w/ steak, white rice, and cucumber salad. My sauce of choice is as the ‘spicy-aki’, a really yummy spicy ???? teriyaki sauce.

The cucumber salad was fresh and light. I even ate everything in one sitting. While enjoying my meal, I noticed that you can even purchase your weekly healthy meal plan. Personally, I love any place they promotes healthy meal options and lifestyle.

Tokyo Joe's is basically the equivalent of "Average Joe's" when it comes to flavor, portion size, and uniqueness. Nothing here screams "original" and everything here you could easily find at other sushi or otherwise Asian restaurants. The only part of my visit that I enjoyed was the teriyaki bowl. It was $6.50 and it felt like I paid for what I got. However, the sushi was definitely sub-par, to put it mildly. The Joe's roll could have passed for a California roll, if it did not have the shrimp in it, and the Yoke roll was just dull. The Poke roll (the one covered in sauce) was really only good because of the sauce. The rice around the seaweed of the roll was definitely not sushi rice, it was the same rice from the bowl of Teriyaki chicken. Not only was the sushi sub-par, it was also relatively pricey. For 4 pieces of the Joe's roll. It costs about $4.50. If you accidentally find yourself walking in here, avoid the sushi. If you're looking for decent sushi, go to Yogi's or something. 3 stars from me; much improvement needed.

Your "copy and paste" response to my review does not change the fact that your price/quality/flavor levels are way off, and DEFINITELY does not make me want to return and have the same experience.
