Husband and I just had breakfast here, I have a to go box with enough for 2 more meals. Our server was Kaleena and she was friendly and attentive. Coffee was good and strong in good sized cups.

Really great place to eat Breakfast Lunch and Dinner. I had a fun time being here. The waiter was really nice and on point. The Kitchen Seems to be Very Well Coordinated. The Chef was directing the whole way. My food was some of the best I’ve had in a while. Salad was good and The Chicken Fried Stake Dinner Didn’t Disappoint. I also got the Huckleberry Lemonade and it was Delicious. Plus the Green beans to top it off and the Mash Potatoes with Gravy did not disappoint me at all. Have fun and enjoy 😊

I have stopped a couple times at Black Bear Diner in other locations, I was never impressed, until today.. at this location. My service was exceptional 👌 and my meal was absolutely fantastic.. I am here at the truck stop so i will go back for breakfast when I wake up but as for my dinner it was cajun grilled salmon with pesto, over sauteed spinach. corn and redskin mashed. All for 17 dollars.

We've decided to try them out today. We had the chicken-fried steak, loaded Mashed potatoes, a roll, and house salad, coleslaw and corn.
Waited about 10 mins to be seated.
The waiter brought our drinks right away. A few mins later the house salad. It was great and good size. We had to wait about 5 minutes to eat it though because we did not have any silverware they were out of silverware when we got there the reason why I knew this is the two girls that were rolling the new silverware and the napkins set down at the table next to us. I did enjoy listening to their conversation though why eating so no complaints. The salad honestly was so good I probably would have ate it with my fingers with no complained. Lunch followed the chicken-fried steak was awesome. Pretty much everything was awesome right up until I bit into my loaded mashed potatoes. They were so cold I might as well have been eating ice cream not only that they seemed like they were instant mashed potatoes with no flavoring. The waiter was awesome and offered to take them back or give us new ones that were hot 20 minutes later she brought out new servings of loaded mashed potatoes. I wish I could say that they were better but sadly they were room temperature and still cold in the middle the cheese wasn't even melted on the top not even when we got home I might add. The waiter again offered to go back and pop them in the microwave again. We declined as normally we are not the people that ever complain or send anything back. Honestly if you can't get it right on the second try most likely you will not. The waiter told us that the cook had informed her that it was because of whoever pull them out did not let them set long enough before they put them on the line 🤷 Not to mention we had already eaten most of our food.🤦‍♀️ Ordered a bear claw for dessert. Honestly it was great. I really enjoyed it but I had to smother in butter when I got home to be able to chew it 🙂 I really liked it. I recommend trying their pie instead though 🙂. I would also recommend you do not go with the loaded mashed potatoes and go with a baked potato sadly the baked potatoes are not offered until after 4 though. We paid the full price without complaint for the meal even with the horrible tasteless cold/frozen potatoes and extra for a side sour cream to try flavor said Cold potato's. We left a good tip as our waiter was awesome and I really enjoyed the decorations on the walls. As for the loaded mashed potatoes we brought them home and gave them to our hogs so did not go to waste. We had to wait a good 15 minutes to check out even though there was nobody at the register but it wasn't bad because there was lots of good stuff to look at. 🙂There was a couple at the table behind that had salads that looked awesome.🙂 We will probably go back at least once or twice more to try their salads for a main dish and their breakfast. All-around is a good dining option for traveling families and truckers. A lot of our locals have also enjoyed them. 🙂 All the employees and staff were great and all of them very friendly.🙂

Came here for the soft opening and it was great. The remodeling of the area was super cute and I like that it was closed off so you feel like you're actually in a diner. Food was great and came out quickly. Our server Tammie was great, we were checked in on often and others were circling to make sure others dining had any needs taken care of. Loved the pie sample, it was cute and very refreshing, I'm not usually a fan of coconut cream pie but this was very good.

This will be a more regular stop for us once it's open.
