Sawmill Run Restaurant

l love this restaurant!! Good food and Great atmosphere!! Google shows them open- glad I called before driving 2 hours! They are closed for the time being.

I had an amazing meal here, and the view was outstanding! We went for a blue cheese burger and it tasted like any other blue cheese burger I've ever had. Those onion rings are tricky but they taste so good and are super crispy. I'll come back as soon as I can. A must!!

The Sawmill Run serves some very tasty burgers and soups. As you would expect, on top of a mountain, it's a bit expensive, but it's also very good. The patio is a great place to relax after a hike, have a beer and a burger and enjoy the view. When the weather gets too nippy for the patio, they have a cozy fireplace next to the bar. I think it's the best place to eat on the mountain. Try it, you'll like it.

So being one of the few places to grab food or drink the prices are high. Unfortunately the food is not that great. The half chicken was way overcooked and extremely dry with the fries being soggy. Service was also very very slow for us. The others sat around us had their server constantly checking on them so your experience may differ. This is a shame as the outdoor seating area is a nice place to relax and enjoy when the weather is good and you are able to get a spot. It can be very busy at times so just know that going in especially if you are interested in sitting outside.

Good food, everything was delicious. Chicken breast was cooked excellently, the bread was awesome. Loved the fries and onion rings too! Long wait times when its busy, but its okay, you shouldn't be eating on the mountain if you're in a rush anyway. Nice outdoor seating as well. No complaints!
