Chuy's Mesquite Broiler - Oro Valley

Chuy's has long been a favorite place to meet up with friends in a laid back beach vibe setting. Where do I start...there are so many yummy foods to choose from. My go to is the chicken tortilla soup and the fish tacos. The staff are always friendly and helpful if I need to make little changes from the menu. It's a fun place to hang out, complemented by the unlimited chips and salsa bar and tangy margaritas!

The food was great. I had the Chuy's California Tacos. The chicken and sauce was very tasty and a good quantity. My only complaint is the tortillas were way too tiny for the amount of filling. The two tortillas were only about 4 inches in diameter. Five or six of the tiny tortillas would have made more sense with the amount of filling provided. But I would have preferred standard size tortillas. The rice and beans were pretty unremarkable. Basically just plate filler. But not bad if you like rice and beans. One other thing, when paying with a CC they ask for a tip before you are served. Other than that, it was a good experience and I plan to go back again.

Food was good, just not as good as last time we were in town. And newer location is too small to gather with friends. Miss the one on Ina....

Informal and straight forward. Had a burger, fries, and beer and it was just as it should be. Wife had 1/2 chicken Sat special for $7 and what a deal that was. Staff was friendly. If you're looking for something a little more casual and affordable than what Oro Valley normally has to offer, this is your place.
