The Italian Sausage Sandwich and The Bobbie were absolutely delicious! The choice of sandwiches were like no other sandwich shop! I got a combo meal with a medium drink ans creamy coleslaw. OMG!!! I will be going back again soon. I want to try every choice of sandwich there is! The seating area is kinda small, probably be more comfortable taking the sandwich to go. Everything was clean and the manager (who mentioned he was the owner) was so nice, and polite! I am handicapped and he was nice enough to bring my sandwich and coleslaw to my table. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!
This was my first visit. The staff was really friendly and the establishment very clean. Minimal seating but still inviting. Nice selection of subs. I tried the classic cheesesteak 1/2 size which was smaller than I expected for the price. The flavor was excellent.
We finally have a Capriotti's in Tucson. After a longer than anticipated grand opening, they are finally open. If you are tired of the other sub chains, give this a try. They have a nice selection of vegetarian subs, including veggie turkey, which I always get. They have a bread size chart in front of the register. You will want to order at least a medium. A large would provide leftovers. Small is too small. Bread is soft and thus far from rustic. It's more akin to Subway, but better. The bread would be my only complaint, but it is decent when fresh. Be prepared to spend $15-$20 for a meal.
You wouldn't think a turkey sub could be so delicious, but we got hooked on them when we lived in Delaware, Capriotti's home base. We eagerly awaited the opening of the new location in Tucson and they nailed the flavor of the original right on the first day. Can't wait to go back. It was very busy and it looked like most of the "eat in" customers were eating tasty looking subs from the grill, but if you haven't tried one of the turkey subs, you don't know what you're missing.
