Doughbird

Everything was wonderful my family and I enjoy it so much. The mozzarella sticks were delicious. I loved how crispy the chicken tenders were. We are excited to go back and dine again. The costumer service is great and they really try to make sure you have the best experience possible. My son has a dairy allergy and they made him a special order pizza with no cheese so he could have pizza! The only issue was myself and my Autistic son found the atmosphere a bit to loud and over stimulating but we did love how clean everything was. Even the silverware was shiny and new.

Doughbird just opened in Tucson, so I had to give them a try. I visited in the early afternoon. They were very busy, as one would expect for a new restaurant. The restaurant has a large, open floor plan, a bar to the right (as you enter), the kitchen straight ahead, and seating everywhere else. There is also outside patio dining available.

Overall, Doughbird is off to a great start. First, the food. I ordered the shishito peppers and the spicy Hawaiian pizza, as well as the gluten-free brussel sprout and sweet potato pizza to go.

The peppers were delicious, just slightly spicy, very flavorful, and paired with a tasty dipping sauce. For the Hawaiian pizza, I found that the team at Doughbird crafted a pizza where all of the ingredients truly complement each other. No one flavor dominated any bite of the pizza. From the jalapenos and basil to the sauce and the ham, there was some serious culinary harmony going on with this pizza. The crust was crisp, yet a bit chewy, and flavorful. Also, my partner raved about the gluten-free pizza. Brussel sprouts and sweet potato on a pizza? Who would've guessed!

Also, kudos to the staff dealing with the onslaught of customers. They were very attentive, friendly, and managing everything quite well.

Overall, I say we will definitely return to Doughbird. They have a good thing going here and I hope it all just gets better!

The service here made me feel like King Menelik the first of Ethiopia. There were literally five hosts waiting to seat me and my girlfriend. This struck me as a little bit overkill, but it did make me feel like royalty. The service here struck me as attentive, but not servile, flattering, but not obsequious. I was instantly recognized as a celebrity and given the finest table in the house which impressed my lovely date. The pizza was 20 dollars which struck me as a little bit overpriced, given the very reasonable prices of Sauce right next door. I ordered "The Aviator," which was pretty good, but not 20 dollars good. However, I am a billionaire, and price does not concern me. It is important for prospective customers to note that there is NO SMOKING allowed inside this building. The staff kindly reminded me of this inconvenient fact as I began to light up an Arturo Fuente Hemingway at my table. While the inability to smoke this fantastic cigar bothered me, I understand that the pernicious apparatus of the state has put in place many regulations surrounding smoking which business owners must abide by. Overall, this was a good experience. The service was impeccable and the food was good. I would recommend this place to anyone with loads of money to spend like me.

Every single thing we tried was very good! The zero proof drinks were all excellent. They make their gluten-free pizza crust in-house, as well as their various dipping sauces for the chicken. In addition to their pizza and chicken, they have a variety of other great options like the salmon and prime rib. I expect this place will do very well in Tucson!

We were able to participate in the soft opening this weekend and that food was amazing. This place is going to be very popular here. Everything we tried was excellent!
