First Watch

The Morning Hash is my favorite. Love the little chunks of goat cheese which adds a little tang to each bite. It was a bit of a wait but it was also Mother's Day. My son loved his egg sandwich and my daughter liked her shrimp n grits. She had the Purple Haze drink and she loved it. The coffee was a bit strong for my liking. Overall, a good breakfast!

Good service, food is of very high quality. I eat very healthy at home, and I really don't eat out much but when I do, I want to blow my diet for a day and have something really bad for me, the kind of meal you should only have a couple of times a year... in fact my visit was for my birthday breakfast. I hadn't been here before, so I didn't know First Watch is for the Whole Foods/Ben and Jerry's crowd. Portions weren't very big and it's a tad on the pricey side. Don't get me wrong, it's good but I can make it at home. If you're looking for a treat for yourself like I was, this likely isn't it. Don't get me wrong, it's very good just not the kind of place I'll go to on those rare occasions I eat out.

Good food, not a fan of how my eggs were served.. I said cooked thoroughly and they were runny in the middle. Biscuits & Gravy was spot on though, all & all the eggs didn't ruin the experience. Definitely a good place to eat breakfast, but the wait time can make some people turn away. Be sure to allow a wait time.

I went to First Watch twice (02 Jan 22 and 13 Feb 2022). The grits were thicker and grittier than is my normal taste. Even though the place is always packed, it is easy to get seated when I am alone or willing to sit on the patio. The menu item I enjoyed most was the Purple Haze. It had an interesting flavor to it but it was delicious to me. I ordered the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict the second time I went. I would have liked a smidge more salmon on but it was still deliciously filling. Service inside was better the first time but still cordial on both occasions.

First time at First Watch (Irvington & Freeway). Very friendly and accommodating staff. My grand son's idea and turned out to be a great idea. Ordered the watermelon drink and blueberry pancakes. Absolutely delicious. Love the decor as well. Will definitely be going back!
