I wound up going here with a friend who got to eat for free since it was actually the day of the birthday. Pretty good deal, I'd say. Would also recommend for casual feel good food.
I don't regular IHOP. Not a big pancake eater really. But I was getting some work done on my truck and walked here for some breakfast. Jeniffer was my waitress and oh my goodness was she amazing. She should be at a high end steakhouse.
Place is packed. Only 2 open tables. Looked as if know one was here, being served. We were seated, sat 5min still no service all was quiet.. Then, all of a sudden here came 2 men and everyone started talking and awake being served up plates .. It's a nice place. Clean, nice waiter. Only pricey thing I find here is coffee & drinks all $2.79 wow. (Water please..)
I haven't been to an IHOP in forever, I made myself remember why. The restaurant dining area was freezing, much too cold for my comfort, and could use a good cleaning. My server was nice, the food arrived quickly and was hot but didn't taste very good.
I had the Southwest Scramble, there is nothing southwest about it. What the restaurant calls "salsa" was tomato paste with lemon juice, and the chunks of avocado were probably fresh last week. The toast was burnt but the scrambled eggs and potatoes tasted okay, edible.
I don't think that I'll go to an IHOP any time soon again, maybe if I'm really hungry and there is nothing else available.
