Samurai Sombrero

If you like the stuffed roll concept of “everything but the kitchen sink” you’ll love this truck. Great service and fast.

I’m not a vegan sushi fan but the fried sweet potato roll dipped in soy sauce is perfectly balanced.

The other rolls I tried - spicy tuna and Abigail were not balanced and there was too much sweet in the rice and probably the sauces. Unfortunately I couldn’t correct the tuna (I think the tuna had a sauce on it?) and rice sweetness with soy sauce…. The more I ate the sweeter the bite, and halfway through I found the rolls just became inedible. If you want to counter the sweet I’m guessing you’ll need a deep fried element in the roll and sauce on the side. And all crab on the menu is fake “krab”.

Fabulous person waited on me with much patience and explained her sushi rolls and helped me select.

Went to The Pit today to support the small businesses that are set up there. I ordered from Samurai Sombrero and enjoyed every bite. I ordered the Sombrero Roll and the Avocado Roll and I was not disappointed in the least! Both rolls were made with good quality fresh ingredients. The Sombrero Roll was particularly good. Well made and delicious! I will be returning for another order from this yummy Sushi Food Truck!! Thank you!!!

We stopped in and checked out Samurai Sombrero located at The Pit Tucson

They are a new truck in town and have a great selection of sushi and other menu items. I order the Vegas roll, Sombrero roll, and a side of rice. Man....they were so good. Definitely not something you would expect from a truck. My only complaint was that I should have got more rice....SO DELICIOUS!!!

So if you're on the east side, or just looking for something different, I highly suggest checking them out.
