This place is amazing.
I ordered my two favorite dishes, veggie & shrimp tempura and a California roll, for takeout (great prices on both of them btw.) It was done in 20 minutes and when I got there it was ready to take out the door. The cashier was quick and efficient while also maintaining caution considering the current health crisis we're in, and I was out the door in five minutes. When I popped the containers open I was pleasantly surprised to a fairly sized sushi roll and a heaping portion of tempura.
The tempura was nice and crispy, with a wide variety of veggies that I loved and very fresh tasting shrimp. The sauce it came with was piping hot and complimented it all very well. The only bad thing I have to say about the tempura was that the lid to the sauce container came off easily and dumped all over my food, but since that was already my plan I didn't mind too much. The California roll tasted fresh as can be, with great quality crab and very tender rice.
Corona or not, I would definitely recommend going here as the food is good quality, while also being a good price. I'm definitely coming back again.
This place is awesome quality food but a little expensive but worth it. I would recommend the Las Vegas roll. It’s a favorite of mine. Also the owner is very nice!
Best ramen in town. We love the tonkatsu ramen.
Wish Google would allow for service and food quality in seperate review. I sat at sushi bar... Chef was super attentive, had to ask for sake twice from server, water glass stood empty most of the meal except when I asked for more. Now the food, started with spicy scallops, sweet and delish although i prefer with some masago and happily served a portion. Then moved to the La Playa roll... OUTSTANDING multiple layers of flavor and fish was really good! THEN the Tonkatsu ramen, I could have had eaten 10 bowls! Pork bone broth was soooo good not watered down like most in Tucson, the pork.... forget about it! Full of flaver, right amount of fat and melt in your mouth goodness, noodles were perfect and the egg was just creamy yolky yummy. Would have been a 5 star if the server and others standing around would have been more attentive. Going back for Ramen for sure!!
