We were very disappointed with the menu changes and significantly inflated prices on New Year's Eve. We had out-of-state family who chose this place based on the website, distance from our home, and cost. Most of us wanted fettuccine but there was none on the menu that night. The prices were significantly higher than normal ($34 versus $22 for steak) and a glass of wine was $10. We think this kind of menu change and price elevation should be noted on the website if this is common practice for holiday meals.
Based on the reply below, you should post the specialty menus and the altered prices. This is easy to do on a website.
Excellent food. I would definitely go back to try everything on their menu. Warm toasted bread, salad included with main courses. Attentive staff, outdoor area and comfortable dining room.
Always amazing food, great service and tantalizing desserts. Five years and still going strong! Valentino's is a wonderful part of our community; we love to support this family-run business.
Special tip: their tomato oil dipping sauce is a MUST!
Heard about Valentino's from Kelly whom we talked with at Walker Butte Leadership Day. The food was delish. Had the 3 cheese ravioli w/ pomodore sauce and chicken Alfredo. LOVED the ravioli, salad, and bread. Also had the wedding soup. We're from northeast Ohio and know all about wedding soup. Everyone makes it different, and Valentino's was pretty good. The atmosphere was very peaceful and classy. Will definitely be back again.
EDIT: Have been eating here for a couple years now and still haven't had bad food or service. I could drink the tomato stuff for the bread and the French onion soup is my favorite. Still Loving this place!
I went there with a group of ladies from our Red Hat Club from a local church. Everyone enjoyed the food, the entrees, the wine , and appetizers. The service was excellent, the food was very tasteful. The bread was incredible with the accompanying tomato oil. Would come again definitely and would recommend it to all. Kudos to Rob for bringing this amazing restaurant to Florence. May it continue to prosper in the coming years. Can't wait till Valentine dinner at Valentino's.
