My third day in bagdad working. The food is great the people are great. The town is beautiful.

I go to a lot of small towns. In everyone of them there is always signs claiming great or best food. More often then not those signs are wrong. This place was different. It could easily be missed if you blink driving by. There were no large signs exclaiming their dominance in the restaurant business or eye catching décor adorning the outside. It was just a modest little building that blended in with everything around. I had a load of pipe to drop at the mine and I asked the ladies at the security building how the food was here, they couldn’t stop bragging about how good it is. One even pulled out a paper menu and told me to call in advance in case the restaurant side closed I could pick it up at the bar. I’ve never had anyone make such enthusiastic claims about a place, I started to think one of the two owned the place. Of course I had to try it now. First, I was allowed to park my truck while I completed my 10 hour break, good start so far. Second, I opened the front door and the building transformed from plain to a beautiful quaint country restaurant. Next, the waitresses were extremely pleasant, which was great because I found out they close the restaurant side at 9pm, I walked in at 8:45pm. Lastly, the food was awesome. Not the kind of dinner I expected to find in such a small town. If you can, make time to stop in here, you won’t regret it.

The owner let me park my truck there as long as I don't block the entire lot. Has good food according to my sister
