    Hubby and I were staying in Cottonwood, which we found had a great choice of restaurants. We stopped at the Red Rooster after a morning of hiking and were greeted by our server, a sweet young woman. Our table was in the cozy patio. We wanted to share a BLTA, which was no problem. Both the sandwich and the potato salad were delicious and our server was pleasant and professional. Very nice restaurant!

    Best coffee ever! Friendly and efficient waitstaff. Enjoyed a simple breakfast of soft scrambled eggs, potatoes (diced white & sweet), bacon with fresh avocado slices (held the toast). Sat next to a table of daily regulars that were friendly and gave helpful information about the trailhead I was taking.

    Wonderful burger, not overcooked at all, and just the right amount of juice. Hot and fresh too. Brioche bun was delicious too. Cheese was nicely melted.

    Kettle chips aren't something I usually like, but these ones, unlike most places, weren't burnt or anything - they were just right.

    Service was fast too. Free drink refills is another great thing.

    The only complaint I have is that the chairs didn't offer much back support for a big guy like me, but that's not really something that I can hold against 'em.

    All in all, fantastic diner. Highly recommended if you're in the area.
