A&W Restaurant

Surprisingly friendly people and delicious food. Maybe I just forgotten how a customer service should be since I've been staying in Phoenix for the last 4 months, however making a trip up into Prescott and needing to make a quick stop at a gas station to get a bite to eat, I really wasn't expecting much. The staff were extremely pleasant and friendly. And the food was fresh and hot.

This is a nice little A&W. It is tall and open but the dining room is small. They do have some comfy outdoor furniture if you want to eat outside. It's also conjoined with the gas station for easy access if you need to pick up snacks for the road. The bathrooms here were clean but chilly! There are basic amenities in the restrooms but no changing table or hooks for your coat/ purse.

Honestly loved it here when I was a kid but it doesn't taste as good as I remember. The root beer is still delicious at least. The shrimp is a better option. The reason why I'm leaving a 3 star review was because how long it took for our food to arrive. They had 10+ employees and most of them were standing around. Took them between 20 and 30 minutes today for two meals. There was only a couple of people in the lobby at that time as well. So not sure what went on. I will definitely try them out again in the future still.

Restaurant looked great, it is new, with plenty of seats. Meals were decent, nothing special. My guess is the deserts and appetizer foods are what make this place good. There were about 15 workers when I went and the age range seemed to be between 16-20. They each seemed to have 1 job each, and they would perform that 1 task and stand there until that task was required to be completed again. I found this to be an interesting style of management. Everyone I encountered and observed was very friendly and courteous. My order took a little longer than I expected considering the amount of workers to customer ratio, which was about 1:1. I’ll probably only return for the cheese curds or a desert in the future.

Upon entering, you are verbally greeted with smiling faces! Your order is taken with another smiling face and the utmost professionalism. The food was quickly ready and brought to us with a cheerful disposition and we were checked on to see if there was anything we needed half way through our meals. The restaurant was very clean (no sticky tables, no trash or crud on the floor). It was great to see these young people working so diligently and professionally. Top notch!! Highly recommend!!
