Went there with my kids and wife on our trip to visit grandma. Incredibly excellent service, exceptionally friendly staff. Very relaxed and comfortable environment and the food was absolutely amazing. This place has the best brisket I have ever had in my life, paired with their mustard based barbecue sauce, I'd drive another 11 hours again just to eat there.
If you're visiting Prescott, it should be required that you eat here.
Finally took the time to stop after driving by many times. Glad we did. Excellent food and not overpriced like you find at some BBQ places. Just a hint of smokiness and not overwhelming. Finding good BBQ is like finding a unicorn. There is an abundance of OK places and a select few that I would go out of my way to stop at. This is now one of those places I will be going out of my way to stop at.
Crowded downtown? Head up the street a bit to this great restaurant. My husband and I enjoyed a delicious meal here. The meats were smoked to perfection, delicious and tender. Sauces were the perfect compliment. Two weeks ago we ate at the new high profile establishment downtown. Our meal we had at Lucy Dee's was superior!
Nice little BBQ place where you place your order at counter, pay, and then find a table to eat. Everyone was friendly. Had the BBQ pork sandwich with side of mac and cheese. Loved the different sauces to choose from at the table. Pulled pork sandwich was freaking delicious with and without sauce! Mac and cheese was okay, but added BBQ sauce to it which made it better. Will stop here again for sure.
My wife and I were very impressed with Lucy Dee's. The smell of the food was enticing as we entered. When you walk in, there is a menu, then you order at the counter and you get your food and pay at the end then find a seat. The folks at the counter were very pleasant and helpful. My wife got the chicken salad and I got the Sloppy Lucy sandwich on a gluten free bun. We shared the meals so we could both try both dishes. The chicken in the salad was moist and flavorful. The greens were fresh and crisp. The sandwich was delicious. The gluten free bun was better than most. The chopped brisket was smokey and tender. I sampled all the sauces and they were all tasty. My only negative comment is about the bread pudding. It was bland with too much bread and it couldn't absorb the liquid. Try adding coconut and maybe a nice whiskey sauce.
The restaurant is easy to find with plenty of parking. I'll gladly go again.
