Village Chophouse

Surprisingly disappointing experience. I was the only customer in this upscale place and ordered Filet Mignon medium-rare, "just shy of rare", I told the waiter. It still took 45 minutes for this tiny portion to arrive. Well, I thought, for $60 it's gotta be the best Filet Mignon ever, right? Wrong. The normally tender Filet Mignon was burnt to the crisp on the outside, completely well-done throughout with just a tiny sliver of medium in the middle. Not anywhere near medium-rare ("just shy of rare") that I ordered, and so dry I couldn't finish it! That burnt crust does not belong on a good Filet Mignon, and then the whole thing with the menu saying one price and the bill showing another... Sadly, not impressed at all. Won't go back, won't recommend.

The food was incredibly delicious. We split a wedge salad and had an amazing French onion soup and a delicious steak with fries. That's our new favorite restaurant! We will come back on our next trip to Sedona for sure.

They knocked it out of the ball park. They were able to accommodate our group of 6 with a last minute reservation request by doing an early seating. Wonder small restaurant were everything is a relaxed pace. It's much easier to sit and have a relaxed evening, when all the staff is also operating at a relaxed pace. Service was very attentive, but not rushed nor hovering. They have a very excellent selection of wines, and they featured some nice daily specials. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals. Portion are large. Highly recommend this to anybody visiting the area.

I'm so glad we stopped in to dine at The Village Chop house!! Excellent experience, service, food and intimate atmosphere all exceeded expectations. On the list for special occasion nights and when you just want to indulge in the best food around. 😋
