We ordered malts on a cold day, but they still seemed perfect. Rich flavor and thick, we are them so fast we could've ordered more.
Great Cheeseburger, toasted bun, and all. Not like those other "fast" food places. Well definitely eat there again and would recommend to those looking for a hamburger cooked after you order not something cooked that morning
Tough review to write because I really, really want to like this establishment. The food tastes fresh and delicious, but the portions simply aren't large enough for the price. The burgers are really pretty small and not filling at all. The ice cream, however, was very good and fairly priced. I ordered a small Reese's cyclone and thought it was great. My wife ordered a peanut butter shake, but it was really more like a concrete. She had to eat it with a spoon, even though they provided a large straw.
Probably would have gone with 4 stars except for one very annoying quirk: Napkins are kept behind the counter and are nowhere to be found on the tables or in the dining area. My wife went to ask for more, but as there were only two very busy employees trying to keep up with the workload and a growing line of customers, she finally had to go to the restroom and just grab some paper towels. I understand trying to be conservative with supplies, but napkins really are a basic necessity that ought to be readily available.
Bottom line: the ice cream is worth the stop, but the food portion sizes will probably prevent me from returning on a regular basis. And that's a shame, because the atmosphere is great, restaurant is clean, service is friendly, and pride of ownership is obvious.
Interesting experience. Trying to be an old fashioned dairy bar. Had a good chili burger and my companion had a chili dog with a very thick chocolate shake. Happy hour from 3 to 4 with small drinks (they have pepsi products) and small cones for just $1.25 - among other things. Got a twist on my cone and it was great. Not a very big menu selection but the staff was nice.
