It depends on what kind of Mexican food you are looking for. This is no way traditional restaurant style. I loved the carnitas and I am EXTREMELY picky about them. They were tender, lean, and falling apart. However my husband got the lobster tacos and did not like them at all. The cheese dip was very gravy textured and flavored. If you are wanting something different then it's the place to go. Or if you are wanting an amazing carnita. Not my hubby's or kids' cup of tea because they like traditional Mexican food.
The food was good, but the service was pretty bad. First, one in our party had made a reservation for 7:30. When we all got there, we were told that they really don't make reservations, so we had to wait until about 8. The food was brought fairly quickly, and it tasted good and had good presentation. About 10 minutes after we started eating, the waitress brought each of us our tickets and said "no rush." We were not sure if that meant, "please do not order anything else, no dessert, no other drinks, just get out of here as soon as you finish the last bite." We laughed it off and continued eating. Then, some wanted coffee, so the waitress had to open the tickets again. The waitress had no pleasant manners at all. The coffee was terrible according to those who had it, with lots of big coffee grounds. As soon as the coffee was brought, THREE employees started vacuuming the room and cleaning tables and opening and closing doors. Not only that, a few minutes later, two of them sat at an empty table and started to fix the vacuum cleaner ON the table. MInd you, there were at least 3 or 4 other tables with guests at that time. We left at 9:30. All of this provided a lot of entertainment to us but still was completely sub-par service.
Excellent food! Liked the queso dip and homemade tortilla chips. Also had chicken and steak fajitas, which were so tasty...best black beans I've ever had.
We went to Table Mesa for the first time today around 10:30 a.m and discovered they were only serving a buffet with breakfast items for $17 a person. That price seemed high for breakfast but we've heard good things so decided to give it a try. The food was great and served in a unique style, but I think you are paying for the experience. The people were very friendly, the food was fresh, and the atmosphere was warm! You could even have them make an ommelote with the ingredients of your choice. We really enjoyed it. We hope to try it again for supper some time.
This was by far one of the BEST dining experiences I have ever had!!! Our front desk lady at the hotel recommended it. Beautiful clean town, and great atmosphere!! My boyfriend and I got the Mexican coke and lavender cream soda ( to die for!!) We both got the chicken tortilla soup, and for entrees, we got the seared tuna and fajita mix. My God everything was so fresh and tasteful! And I finished off with an amazing Strawberry basil margarita???? this place was fantastic!!
