The Hive

We came around 830 on a sunday and sat at the bar. Bartender was pleasant and took our drink order quickly. Ordered a rib eye which was cooked perfectly medium. The ambiance here is awesome! Its romantic but at the same time u could come alone for a drink at the bar or come chill on the couch. Very modern and trendy. Went to the restroom and there were some nice pieces of art along the way with separate rooms with art inside. Super cool place with an awesome vibe and the food is excellent. Coming back soon!

Nothing here was bad but nothing was that great, either. The sweet and spicy french fry appetizer was mostly just sweet - like they poured honey over french fries. Wife had catfish. The catfish was decent, thought the fried cornbread was more like croutons and the beet puree was uninspiring. I had a pork roast sandwich. Very dry, not much flavor. Service was good, and they had a decent beer list but we will be in no hurry to return.

Tried their burger, power menu bowl entrees and the trail mix. Liked the patty in the burger, but the bread is hard, the jam/puree used in it is over powering the burger itself. Bowl was flavorful, and trail mix is very good. The interior is quite engaging, service was prompt, which we liked.

Had a good time with good food. Cocktails were great! The cheese/butcher plate was pretty hearty but how I like it. 25 min egg was OK. Scallops were great as well - a tiny bit overcooked. Burger was solid. We love the 21c properties and this was on par. Kids were ok to have here but it is a little nicer. Our 8 yo had a fun time with the rotating penguin. Also got to charge our Tesla which was a plus.

A very interesting menu. There were six of us at the table for dinner. All of us with varying tastes. Some with severe allergies. We did not have a question our waiter could not answer. He was extremely knowledgeable and it was apparent that he loved working there and he loved the restaurant. We could not have had a better experience anywhere.
