I've stayed at the Crescent many many MANY times. It's charming, it has great history, but it's old and the rooms need updated. The heat/air in our room was great, bathroom was spacious and bright. The room was dark, even with the curtains open, in broad daylight with the lights on. This place is creepy, some corners are super creepy and that's part of why we love it. Breakfast is the Crystal Ballroom was delicious and we got a voucher towards the meal. There are ghost tours going on most every hour of the evening. So it can get loud in the halls. It seems they are following sanitizing and mask guidelines. I will stay here so many more times.
Story teller did a great job, she was fun, shared pictures with us she caught on her cell phone. Our ghost ? finder went off a lot, not sure if it was just electricity though. We personally didn't experience anything, see anything or capture anything on camera. The bar did a great job limiting how many people could be allowed in at a time. The pizza there smelled amazing and looked amazing, we did not have any though. They enforced masks, which was nice. During ghost tour they do allow a short break outdoors to take mask off for a minute before going back inside to finish tour. Grab souvenir t-shirt, or cool silicone cup! Love ours. We may come back to visit again for something fun to do again. Enjoyed a couple weekend getaway.
The pm staff was amazing. They realized that we booked a package twice and ended up fixing our reservation for us to save money. The hotel is beautiful. Breakfast was delicious. The day staff was helpful, but also seemed less knowledgeable than the night staff. The tour was fun. We did have a wasp problem in our room, but they got maintenance on it right away.
Beautiful location, hotel, and grounds. It does fit well into the category of a 3 star hotel based on quality and amenities. Service was friendly and helpful. On the side of things that could be improved, the rooms could definitely use a renovation (everything looks a bit worn) and cleanliness could be better. It was an enjoyable stay and would have been even better if the room felt and looked cleaner.
