Solid Tex Mex in Heber Springs. About what you would expect when looking for Mexican food in Arkansas. Nothing fancy, but the service is good, and the time to table is prompt. Big PLUS: they have their liquor license and the margaritas are good!
Best Mexican food in Heber Springs. The lunch menu is very affordable and portions are huge. Ask for to go carton and you'll get two meals in one. Great quiet family atmosphere. Yhey even have a separate sports bar serving drinks which is unusual for Heber Springs, bring a mostly "dry" county.
On their sign that says "Best Mexican food in town." That is no lie! I had the chicken cheese and rice with sliced and grilled jalapenos. It was so good.
I've gone back a few more times since my first review of this place. Every time it has been pleasant. The food is good.
Chips and salsa are always fresh.
Chips taste homemade.
Queso is my favorite here.
We were seated quickly and had our drinks right away.
Seafood nachos was a very good choice. Shrimp and scallops with delicious and fresh flavor.
Hubby had the fish tacos and enjoyed them.
My husband travels 48 states and says that this is the best Mexican food that he has had in a long time.
That says a lot, as he spends most of his weeks in Southern Texas.
He tells me that he wants to eat here each time we are in Heber.
Menu prices are very reasonable for such large portions. Very clean environment with lots of seating on both sides of the restaurant.
The dining area and restroom appear to be recently updated since our last visit.
Nice large, sturdy wooden chairs make comfortable seating.
Almost everyone walks out with leftovers for later to enjoy. Wish I had taken pictures of all of the food we were served for four people.
The place can get crowded quickly at supper time, so it's best to get there a little earlier. Larger crowds present no negative impact on the food taste nor the service we received.
One of our favorite Mexican restaurants. Even when crowded, we are usually seated pretty quickly. The chips and salsa are always fresh and seem to be home-made. The cheese dip too. The dishes are always hot and very flavorful. Recommend the shrimp chimichanga or shrimp taco salad- their shrimp is so good considering it’s not from a seafood place. Great service and delicious food. A plus is that they have Diet Dr. Pepper, my wife’s favorite.
