I was in town to visit family and got invited to the flying burger for lunch. My husband and I were so excited to try this place. The service was fine and the burgers were amazing. So great that we drove 38 minutes back to Magnolia two days later to try something different on the menu. It was a nice drive and we had pretty high hopes for our second visit, unfortunately they did not deliver.
We came back for a “poor boy” and it missed the mark, big time. I wish the shrimp could’ve been fried like shrimp and tasted more like shrimp. It was fried in what tasted like fish fry, it even looked like fish and I only had about 4 on the whole sandwich.
The wings were great, and I don’t think you can really mess up a salad, the po-boy however was disappointing. The burger and fries from our first visit saved this review. I think the menu is a little too extensive, maybe focusing on one cuisine is better that trying to specialize in everything.
Whenever I’m back in the area and have a taste for a great burger, I’ll be back. From my experience the fries can be hit or miss. Great one day and not two days later. I hope to catch them on a good day next time I’m in Arkansas.
The food is pretty solid for the most part. Lots of flavor in the entrees. The price is a bit high. The fries are soggy and sad. If you like soggy warm potatoes you will love the fries, but if you're expecting a nice crispy french fry you won't get that. The flavor on the fries is alright. Its really a shame considering how good the rest of the food is. If you get a meal without fries, you're in for an enjoyable, flavorful meal. They don't have half-salads either unfortunately. If you go, get a warm cinnamon roll with ice cream.
The atmosphere was nice, the food was okay until my son found a long piece of hair on his burger as he picked it up for a bite. The young lady that was cooking should've had her hair under a cap, hair net, or had her long ponytail pulled up into a bun... Although they made him a new burger, we probably won't eat there again when in town visiting.
I ordered grilled salmon it wasn't good. Was cooked to fast and had a fishy taste. I've had salmon from here before and it was delicious but not this. I ordered butter sauce on the side and one of your waitress she had a problem with giving me my butter sauce. Wanted to see my receipt and then ask me was it on the salmon. I ask if seen any butter on it. I sent the salmon back for 6 lemon pepper wing and they were delicious and the guy that exchanged it was very nice and professional.
