Omar's Uptown

Terrific food. Recommend the bacon appetizer and the pork chop entree, in particular.

This was actually my second visit to Omar's. This time, we brought family because the first visit was so pleasant. Restaurant has white tablecloth tables and kind staff members. We ate upstairs, which has its own small bar and several tables available. On this second trip, however, our waiter almost forgot a drink order and mixed up the food order as well. The steaks were cooked as ordered, but I did have an incorrect side dish. The waiter did give me the correct side though. But then, someone else received completely different sides than what he ordered. And after having to ask for the drink and get my side dish, we didn't say anything. Everyone has tough days here and there, so we figured maybe our waiter was having a rough day and dealt with the remaining issues. Other than that, the food was delicious. We ordered Tamale corn cakes (which tasted like cornbread with chopped tomatoes and onions and other ingredients on top) and Bang bang sheimp (breaded shrimp in a sauce that has a mild kick to it) for the Apps. Our meals were overall tasty as well. This experience doesn't completely deter me from visiting again, but I do hope next time goes more smoothly.

X everybody that works at Omars is fantastic the staff is knowledgeable I'm very good at their job. Well worth the price that you pay. Zack the manager is very good

I've been here a number of times when I could afford it. Plan on at least 100$ for two with tip. Everything I've had here was good or great. Excellent service. Great date night place. Plus you can dress casual I've seen people in shorts and sandals.
