Pretty decent brisket and sausage were tasty, but what made the meal was the baked beans. Haven't had sweet molasses baked beans in a while, and boy, were they good. If ever in town again, I'll try their ribs and chicken and encourage you to give this BBQ joint a try.

If you'd ever wandered what BBQ was like in Arkansas, don't. I had high hopes given the sauce selection, however that's where my disappointment started, and only got worse. The "sliced" brisket was more shaved and I'm positive microwaved bologna slathered in liquid smoke would have had more flavor. I finally found some semblance of flavor after mixing all six sauces together which just added to my confusion of how they think serving two, yes two tiny ribs is ok as part of their two meat plate... which really didn't matter as the bush's baked beans stole the show, and that's not supposed to be a compliment, but when canned beans are better than your cue something isn't right.

** Quick update, due to owner response... I gave 3 stars out of pity because I know some amount of effort had to go into taking all aspects of flavor out of the meat, except the two little bites of ribs did show promise, and no I didn't eat it all out of fear it would cause me to pull over midway through my road trip from Atlanta to OKC.. I mostly review bbq places , and pretty fairly I believe because I want restaurants to be successful.

My first visit here. I came because of word of mouth. I had the bbq nachos, potato salad, and beans. The only things I like is the potato salad. It was decent. I didn’t like the nachos. Scanty meat, cold meat, and cheese was ok. Well, I tried but I won’t be going back. On the flip side, nice customer service.

Update: Ms. Emily contacted me about my review and was very apologetic for my food. Her professionalism and customer service was exceptional. I had no idea that anyone would reach out. I am very happy that she gave me another opportunity to try something new. It was exceptionally nice to undue the previous experience. I would recommend this establishment. If you are not satisfied, give them a chance while there to make it right.

Just tried the ribs with glaze, seasoned fries, and fried okra.
It was delicious!! I am glad that I was given another opportunity to try something new. You will not be disappointed. Real review. Thanks Emily and the Whole Hog family 🤩

Pretty good bbq! The okra was the best restaurant okra I think I’ve ever had, the beans were just okay to me. The ribs were meaty, smoky, and tasty. The sliced brisket was subpar in my opinion, any time I get thinly sliced brisket I feel a shortcut has been taken. It had okay flavor but was dry, gray, and below average compared to what other restaurants are serving for brisket these days. I’d eat here again but skip the brisket.

I loved our visit to whole hog Cafe. I got the half rack of ribs with fries and fried okra. It was delicious. I really enjoyed their dry rub. I think my wife who got the same meal would have preferred the other. I would recommend their ribs.
