Hillbilly Hideout

Stopped by for lunch. It was not as good as it used to be.. The Ruben was good, the chicken breast was dry. The portion sizes are still good. The service was slow. Frustrating watching your lunch just sit at the kitchen pickup window waiting for a server to pick it up. Hope they get enough staff hired to bring the restaurant back to as good as it was before.

I stopped because I had eaten at the other place they run off the Rudy exit of I-49 and really liked it. This one was so much better. Same great menu, sufficiently staffed so service was fast. And if you were wanting to go...I started salivating when I walked in and saw all the fabulous food cooked and ready yo be packaged at their Boar's Head deli. It was going out the door fast too. While parking was full there were people leaving as fast as they were coming so you found a place. Definitely coming back. Too many things I want to try.

The service was awesome. I ordered chicken fried steak smothered in white gravy, fried cabbage & fried okra. The steak was ok, the gravy was good, the okra was good, fresh and hot. The fried cabbage had to have been at least a week old.... not good at all. My grand daughter ordered chicken strips, which she didn't like, they were tasteless. But her potatoes were good. The burger ordered by the other grand daughter must have been good b/c she ate it without a word.... I give it 3 stars because of the food....
