El Chico Cafe

This restaurant has the nicest staff I have seen in quite some time. It was a pleasure coming here. I have always loved El Chico‘s and will stop by one whenever I come across the restaurant. The restaurants always serve great food. The service was so good, if there was a way to give a six star to a restaurant this would be the one.

Servers were very nice, service of food was slow. Ordered the Mucho Platter off of the lunch menu. Food was mostly okay. Beans and rice on my group's plates were undercooked.

The restaurant was not crowded during the time of 11 am to 1 pm. Not good for a restaurant. The photo shows one side of the building with practically no vehicles. There were some on the East side of the building. I remember a few years back that this same establishment was very busy during a Thursday at lunch.

The food seemed clean. It was mostly flavorful, but some was just flat. Waitress had to advise that they didn't have certain things for certain plates.

The management really needs to step up. The building needs some attention. Inventory needs to be monitored better. I would have given this restaurant 3 stars, but the pleasant, courteous wait staff worked hard, so I add an extra star for their effort under difficult conditions.

I am okay with this restaurant, but it could be so much more.

I love El Chico! Their food is always great! Their pickup service is a little hit or miss but dine in is always on point. Love the food and the service is good. Just be careful with pick up. As it isn't all it's cracked up to be, or at least in our experience it isn't. Dine in though is always great and I totally recommend it.

Food was amazing! Queso was awesome, and the service was even better! We asked the waiter about what the best drink was in the menu, or most popular. He put us on the blue hurricane and it was great!! We will be back!!
