I buy fuel here but the gas pumps never give me a receipt. This is very inconvenient!!! I was just there 8/9/2023 , the pumps never give a receipt!!!
I stopped at Victory Express on Military Road between Jacksonville and South Bend (going E. to Lonoke), to fill up my tank with gas. But after exiting my car, I noticed that the front tire, on the driver's side was getting very low on air. It was not far from being flat on the pavement!
Checking the tire on the passenger side, to my horror, it was also low on air. I looked at the back tires, but they didn't appear to be in as bad shape as the 2 front tires were.
The male clerk was in front of the entrance doors taking a smoke break. There was also a woman standing near him, also smoking, and they were talking and laughing. I approached them to ask if they had 'Air' available so I could air up my tires. As I walked across the lot I spotted the Air station on my left, next to the building.
I asked him if that Air Station worked, as I had just noticed how low my front tires were and I didn't want to walk home due to 1 or 2 flat tires. The man and woman both answered my question, with the woman following me back to my car.
The woman agreed with me that I was going to be walking home without air in the front two. She then told me to pull my car over to the Air Station and she would put the air in for me. I appreciated her help, I've never used one of the pay for air machines. But I watched her.
She went around and put air in all 4 tires, they were all low, the front two were mushy low. It took $2.00 to fill them up-- but I'd have paid twice the price to keep from walking into Lonoke in the dark, on Hwy 89, alone...in the dark... I don't do well having to walk.... anytime....in the darkness....alone.....
Another customer pulled up to the Air Station as she was almost done. He said that he had to do the same thing to his car. I had to go break a dollar for 4 quarters, as did the man that pulled in behind me. It was really nice to have a clerk break a dollar bill without griping!
It was certainly a nice surprise to have the lady volunteer to air up my tires without me asking her for help.
The Victory Express Convenience Store is a clean, well stocked, store. The fuel pumps are all new, in good shape and they work very quickly if you are using a charge card at the pump to pay.
I can recommend this fuel station for gas, air for your car or a Coke and a snack for you.
