Burge's Hickory Smoked Turkeys and Hams

Best Turkey salad on planet earth! Employees are super nice. Food always fresh and restaurant super clean. Not one complaint and been there 100 times. Sweet tea awesome also! I’ve had most items on menu. Super good.

Lovely little local deli. They serve made-to-order and pre-prepared meals stocked in a little fridge for self-serve customers for sale. The turkey salad sandwich was tasty, as well as the smoked ham+cheese sandwich; no complaints about the food. Staff was very friendly and pleasant with not just with me but with other customers present at the time, who I assumed were frequent customers based on their conversations. Great atmosphere with nostalgic interior design.

Great food, had smoked turkey melt. Crispy bacon, turkey had amazing flavor. I don't like mayo so I often have dry sandwiches. Turkey was moist and more than made up for the lack of mayo. Baked beans were well flavored. Fried peach pie was really good but could use a little more filling.

Prices are reasonable, the counter staff friendly. I didn’t give 5 stars because as although the food was good. I wasn’t particularly wowed by any of the things I sampled. I thought they were maybe slightly above average. It’s not a bad thing, or a knock. I’d come back again, it’s just nothing amazed me, and that’s ok!

I'm traveling this week for my 41st high school reunion and took the opportunity to stop off for a smoked turkey sandwich at Burge's in my old neighborhood. Some things get better with time and this place is on that list. The simplicity of a sandwich on buttered white toast with smoked turkey, lettuce and mayo is absolutely divine. Keep up the great work!!!
