The food was good but fried too hard. The gease may have been older because of the dark coloration of the fish and orka. Ask for no salt fries and I got extra salt on my fries.
This place feed me for years grewing up. I'm originally from Carolina. Moved to little rock when I was a kid..man this was some of the best fish I had in my life.
Peter's has the best fresh catfish steaks in town! The size and flavor of the fish are really good. They are always busy but I have never had an issue with the quality of the food. If I'm not cooking the fish myself, I am going to Peter's!
I tried this place 2 years ago and had a catfish sandwich, which was just 2 filets and some bread, and it was just ok. Today I had the catfish nuggets, which included fries, hushpuppies, bread and slaw. The fish was decent but the fries and pupps were excellent. I could have used more tartar sauce but overall it was pretty good. The prices are about normal for the times. Next time I might get an extra side of those pupps.
This rating is based on my meal and my dad's. My meal was fresh and hot; no complaints. When I first seen the fish, my impression was, "This is going to be over crispy." I was wrong. The fish is juicy and not overly cooked. However, my dad said his first two pieces of fish were fresh, but underneath the fresh fish was a piece of old fish. I'll eat here again.
