Cheers is a bit of a hidden gem in Maumelle. They have an excellent menu and the chef creates a special menu every week, too. Their sausage & chicken gumbo and ravioli absolutely can’t be beat. BUT they also have a separate room you can use for a party! Right here is where this place shines IMHO. I had a baby shower there this weekend with around 20 guests and had no idea what I was doing. I went over there a few days before and sat down with Billy to get a plan together and I just can’t tell you how helpful he was! On the day of the event, all of the staff was just the best of the best. They had a full restaurant and somehow still kept us as a priority. Our waitress—maybe Opie?—was just awesome! You would expect the service to be slow with so many people but it was just perfect. I just don’t know how these folks kept up but they sure did! And the cherry on top—they even did the clean up?! If you’re looking for a nice date night restaurant or a spot to have a celebration, Cheers is your best bet in Maumelle hands down! We will definitely be back. Thank you so much for all your help and excellence in every area Billy & the rest of the crew there!
I came for the Friday special! Chicken and dumplings with a salad. This was delicious. Savory and hearty meal with a fresh Caesar salad, you can choose your salad btw.
We enjoy fried green tomatoes before the main course and wasn’t too impress, plus they cost more than the dumplings. Secondly the Tomatoes were cut thin and didn’t give you that juicy flavor you need to counter balance the fried exterior. The sauce and shrimp toppings were great, you have to peel your own shrimp
I visited here at around 6:30 pm so it was very busy, had to sit at the bar. The service was decent, given the time of day. The pizza was ok. I guess my main issue was the amount of toppings they give, specifically the veggies, at $1.25 per topping. The amounts of meats and mushrooms were fine but I got about a dime's worth of bell peppers. I'll probably come back and try a burger sometime.
Great pizza and beer 🍺 we had a half Italian sausage, mushrooms and spinach, and half ham and pineapple. It was rich with cheese just right amount of sauce the frost crispy. Shared with hubby and we each had three pieces. He probably could have eaten more! He had desert, a chocolate molten cake w/ ice cream and whipped cream. Great. Friendly peeps and great service.
