Newk's Eatery

First time to visit this eatery and it is a little reminiscent of McAllisters. However, staff was prompt in welcoming me in the door and helping to decide on a food selection. I chose the large double club sandwich and pasta salad. I wish I would have known how large a large is..lol.. Half of that sandwich is plenty. And I am a big eater... The sandwich was good and the pasta salad was sufficient as well. I will definitely try them again when in the area.

Nothing wowed, nothing was terrible.

I did have a few issues. I’m guessing due to a lack of staff, but a bunch of workers were sitting and eating or talking so that’s a bit dubious that it’s staff issue.

Half of my meal was missing but they did rectify it, after I called attention to it. One of the teas containers was out, and one of the ice makers wasn’t working.

The sandwich itself tasted fine, the bread was a tad overdone but it wasn’t inedible or anything.

All in all, it was a very ok experience. Nothing stood out or makes me want to come back. I’d only come back if someone really wanted to go, but it won’t be a place I seek out myself.

When we are craving a well made salad, we go to Newk's. Their Newk's favorite salad is literally the best salad you can order anywhere. It has all things that are good; chicken, mixed greens, Gorgonzola, grapes, pecans, artichoke hearts, dried cranberries, croutons and sherry vinaigrette. Their brownies are pretty good too. We also like some of their pizzas and sandwiches. We order dinner from here at least once a month if not more.
