The place was pretty neat. The owners were amazing, and super friendly. I was hoping to see a larger garden...but it's been very hot and dry here. Thank you Thomas, Ruthie and Grace!
This place is wonderfu!l..to see all the Farm animals and even a Femur ..It is near Harriet Ar. We enjoyed a great Gluten Free supper..the best GF biscuits !..Reservations can be made for a nights stay in the cabin and enjoy great cooking and conversation.
.we came back for a 2nd visit and took a canoe ride down the Buffalo River. Not too far from them..wonderful.
If you'd like to sample a taste of farming life, you should definitely plan a visit to this gorgeous Ozark Mountains hideaway where you can milk a cow, feed the chickens and help with other farm chores. The setting in Buffalo River country is flat-out beautiful, and I'm certain you'll enjoy the hospitality you'll receive from Ruth and Grace Pepler. The food they'll cook for you comes from their farm and other local farms, and it's delicious and healthy. The store is full of Arkansas-made items that make great gifts or souvenirs. Visit soon. You'll be glad you did.
Ruth and Grace always go off the charts to create a first rate agritourism experience. You can witness a TRUE farm to table existence when you stay and eat a culinary meal with thought and love. They have made themselves into a: dairy farm, local ware gift shop, chef prepared small (but well made) mini restaurant, and have a full functioning farm that is self sustained. What a beautiful life!
We just had the most delightful stay here--the hosts are wonderful, friendly and extremely helpful! We had 2 dinners and 2 breakfasts during our stay and they were all absolutely amazing! We enjoyed snuggling with newly hatched ducklings and milked the cow. In the evenings, we got into the hot tub on the deck, watched the sunset and saw the milky way. The only problem was that we didn't want to leave!
