The hand-battered shrimp has a great breading and the best shrimp. The grilled zucchini is flavorful and just about melts in your mouth. But the thing that is to die for is the New Orleans style bread pudding with apples and pecans in a rich, velvety, rum butter sauce. So good it'll make you slap your Mama! My husband said the muffuletta was very good with a very good, spicy olive mixture on it.
Food was great. Service was so-so. It seems like a Cajun food restaurant mixed with a sports bar. Thy don't really go together. The atmosphere just isn't right. But the food is great and worth the visit.
We choose Boondocks because they have a pet friendly patio. Found out the food and service was the best! Being from northern California we are not exposed to southern food and loved what we ordered so much we will go back before we head home. Thanks Randy & Kim for the good conversation.
If you think you have good Cajun food then you might be right but you haven’t have the best and you can find it here! Hands down the best! I will be coming back for sure! Great service! April was our server and she was very helpful on all the menu and she was just awesomely nice! Thanks to them because good service is hard to find!
Stopped in to celebrate my anniversary. First time here and well pleased. The food had the flavor I expect of Cajun cuisine. The waitress even warned what we ordered was on the spicy side. We smiled because we wanted the spicy. Will return..... regularly.
Oh and they honor veterans. Another plus.
