Top of line in both cuisine and ambiance. Dinner was so wonderful when I went that I had to eat dinner there the second night. I loved it

We attended Emmy's night there. So good! They usually do those once a month, but in October it's every Friday and Saturday night. The best German food in The Fort!

The staff was very friendly and acknowledged all food allergies as well. It was wonderful to see that they cared. The food was amazing! I had the spinach and ravioli. It wasn't as big of a plate as I expected in an Italian restaurant, but I still needed to take some home. The house itself is very old and filled with a lot of history...we could tell from the moment we pulled into the driveway that we weren't going to be "eating alone." That was confirmed after speaking with the staff and hearing about frequent sightings. We even saw physical evidence from a video on the staff's cell phone. We saw nothing, but we could tell we were being watched from a distance. The atmosphere was nice, but a bit creepy at first. Ghost Hunters should come here, it'd be cool to know more about the families that lived here prior to it becoming a restaurant. It'd also get the restaurant some well-deserved customers...the food was absolutely wonderful!

The food was very good and the pasta is made by hand every day. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. A few things which happened could have given them another star. The host was not very friendly and even seemed a bit crabby. Although I love that this restaurant is in a beautiful old house, the staff needs to make sure that fixtures are maintained and repaired. It is noticeable and appearance is important at this price. One of the staff members lit our candle in the middle of our meal. They should be prepared for the dinner shift before customers arrive. Also, the chef had apparently not made enough ravioli for both my wife and I to have a full order for each of us. We had only arrived at 5:00. It's bad form to already be running out of food that early in the evening. But, I would go back just for the quality of food.
