“I ordered the fish and chips, upgraded to fries. The place was quiet as I was eating early (5:30 pm). There was only one other table and two or three at the bar. There were two servers working, one my table and one the other table. The food was good, the only issue was the cod should have been a bit thicker, it was slightly overcooked (not much issue to me). The condiments were delivered microscopically, and I ran out of both cocktail sauce and katchup quickly. The server for the other table visited three times before mine ever returned..at which point I was done. She had spent her time sitting and chatting with people at the bar. I think I only left a tip because I knew I was going to burn on the review. Service sucks, don't sit down and chat when you do have another customer.”

“This is an excellent restaurant. The little young waitress sat down with my girlfriend and put in an order specially for her. She took care of her like a queen. She treated us like we were the only people in there at the time and is an excellent waitress. She is the daughter of the owner, and is a great asset to this business. We need more people out there like her. The food was wonderful, and just the way my girlfriend ordered it customised. The overall experience was great! We will be going back.”

“This place has some amazing burgers! I always get the Pajama Jack because I love having a fried egg on my burger. It's fully cooked through and not runny, which is what I prefer. Heads up - their basket of fries is massive. One really is enough for two to three people really. Now, I will say that they are not like typical fast-food. You will have to wait a bit after placing your order. Of course, this means your food is fresh when you get it. I also like that they brand their buns with a big AJ. It's a unique touch.”

“AQ is an annual stop for my wife and I on our way to Beaver Lake. My lunch there is something I look forward to each year we pass through because of their fried chicken over the coals dish. This is pan-fried bone-in chicken that is then cooked further over coals, and sprinkled with lemon pepper. It’s one of the most memorable tastes you can imagine. Complimented by a variety of old fashioned side options, this is a must try item. The staff is always very friendly and the atmosphere is 1980’s rustic. It’s like going am back in time when I’m in the restaurant but not in a bad way. If you’re visiting from out of town, make sure you put a pin on their map and sign the guestbook, then have your picture taken with a statue of a rooster.Because everyone needs their picture made with a rooster, right? AQ is enormous and can accommodate large groups and offer private rooms if needed. Plenty of parking is available too. I wish there were more of these (and one closer to home) but then I’d be fat so it’s best I just eat there once a year, I suppose. You should eat there too if you haven’t.”

“So the sides were typical sides. The desserts were also pretty standard. The chicken is what you need to come for. The fried chicken is tasty and crunchy but a little greasy. The BBQ chicken was also crunchy with a delicious sauce. The over the coals chicken was absolutely breathtaking. You bite into the crunchy, seasoned chicken and immediately taste the smokiness of the coals and the seasoning. The smell only intensifies the taste. I would definitely recommend it.”

“The beer selection here is excellent and they also have great options for non-beer drinkers. This was my first visit to this location and our group tried 8 different beers (all excellent). There is a ping pong table by the front of the store, but don’t forget to check out the back area (to the right when you walk in) for darts and other games. The industrial looking location is easy to miss, but very worth checking out”

“There is not much here to keep inviting us back. This time, the floor was sticky dirty from, most likely, dirty mop water. They were out of chocolate milk, OUT of CHOCOLATE MILK! That's got to be one of the most needed donut condiments! No cinnamon rolls because they don't serve anything with cinnamon any more? What?
