Famous Dave's Alameda

Perfect for big parties. This is my second time going to this location. The first time food was a bit cold and service was kinda slow. In contrast, this second time was enjoyable, food and service were good.

Great selection of food and the sharing platter is definitely enough for a few. The healthiest thing on the menu is probably the steamed broccoli in case you are looking for healthy options, this might not exactly be the place! :-)

Great little BBQ spot! Not exactly an 'authentic' pit, but also not a heavy chain-restaurant vibe despite being a newer place (their smoker looks very clean... but they do have a real smoker!!) Portions were okay, but the quality was definitely there and the prices where just right for a casual lunch -- wasn't stuffed, but certainly satisfied. Invited out by some senior friends for a weekday lunch and it was the perfect venue for that kind of gathering, but looking forward to returning with some folks my own age to explore to beer selection!!

I ate off the happy hour menu. Didn't like it at all. Don't know if I'll try regular menu. Did have a cup of chili, said it was award winning. Not in my book.
