La Penca Azul

La Penca is always consistently good. They have Sunday Brunch and late night bites in addition to a big menu. You can always find something you'll like, even if you're not a big fan of Mexican food.

Love to go here for late night eats. Great place for a good date night or after the club Mexican food. Bomb drinks. Depending on what time you go parking can be a hassle since it's right in the middle of downtown. Very affordable good food. Nice clean atmosphere. Good customer service. I even door dash food on the late night. The super famous burrito is my go to. Definitely the top 3 place to go on girl's night out. This location is better than the San Leandro sister local to me.

Good food. Service is decent. They are always kind and attentive but they get really busy and I think they might be a bit understaffed. But overall great!!

Well first off, their salsa was amazing, even at 10pm on a Wednesday. That's all you really need to know. Great service, excellent food, strong margaritas. Real food. Decent prices. A+, this is no doubt the best Mexican restaurant in all of Alameda.

Had yet another great meal here, among many others I have had over the decades, even under the previous name. Their chips & salsa is the best ever. Ordered the 1/2 lbs. Angus burger with fries, which were great. They have a long list of great items on their menu, and it's usually crowded, enough said.
