C'Era Una Volta

(5 Reviews)
800 West Tower Avenue, Alameda 94501

Italian kitchen and catering. Since the creators of C'era Una Volta are all Italian (a native and an Italian-American), they figured it would be a good idea to feature Italian food and wine, like the homeland cooks it up. Named, C’era Una Volta, Italian for “once upon a time”, this cuisine is a melange of carefully selected favorites served up seasonally, and with lots of amore.

Pretty darn good food. Really nice people. And there was a cool little jazz combo. Sweet.

Nice restaurant, not really expensive. Food is great. The only disadvantage is it's closed at 9pm, but they don't force you to leave. Service is really great. I ordered Mediterranean fish special. Not greasy, just right.

This is an outstanding place. Family friendly, yet super service and outstanding food. We were there w friends and the kids acted up a little. We were talking intently and staff diverted them. Over the top. Also, we picked out a wine and when we were deciding on another, we asked for a recommendation. Their recommendation was better than our choice. We'll be back!

Lovely, lovely dining spot with authentic food as if you were in Italy.
The Branzino is among the best you will find anywhere.
The eggplant Parmigiana rich but not fried or buried in cheese.
The pastas are all handmade and a true delight. You can't miss.
I like the Spinach Ravioli in Pesto sauce.
