The Butcher’s Son

I'm generally not a fan of fake meat. But this place is an exception. They even substitute Jack fruit instead of soy. Truly amazing! There's always a line and seating is hard to find on weekends.

I had heard such great things about this place and was so excited to check it out!! Also, they recently moved across the street just FYI. It's a basically a vegan deli, everything on the menu is vegan which is awesome!! They have tons of sandwiches on the menu which you can also make into salads. They also have a few salads on the menu too. You order at the counter and then find a table to sit. I imagine that this place gets super busy but fortunately we were there during a slower time and didn't have any trouble finding a table.

I ordered the chicken BLAT as a salad with the "healthy" dressing on the side. The serving was massive! I ended up taking half of it home and eating it later. It was so good! My non-vegan friend had the BLT and she really liked it, she said it tasted just like a BLT.

It's also worthwhile to check out the market that's off to the side. They sell some of their "meats" as well as other items like vegan meatballs, and shepherds pie. I ended up picking up the meatballs to put in the freezer at home for later.

Definitely worthwhile to check out!! I'll be back again.

Not only is this some of the best vegan food in the bay area, but the staff is the friendliest. Their new location (across from the previous one) is so beautiful and the ambiance is refined yet casual. While you eat you hear the kitchen putting out orders, customers deciding what they'd like, and others enjoying their food. It's a symphony of love. People loving what they are eating, loving each other's conversations, and loving the food. The buffalo chicken sandwich is everything. Our plates were empty by the end of the meal. Thank you butcher son's! We are so grateful for y'all and everything you do in our community!

Excellent spot for vegan food with a nice outdoor area round the back to eat. I tried the fried chicken bagelwich from the brunch menu and it was awesome. They also have a counter for take away food and I recommend trying one of their pies. There is a line but it moves quickly.

Exceeded my expectations all around, has a great experience, extremely clean, food is amazing I can't afford everything but let's me know it's a treat place, the ambiance is great. Serves as a great place for a date, casual lunch, or just chill by yourself. Staff knowledge and etiquette are great. Even got to bring my dog to eat and they got her water. The patio outback is beautiful especially in the summer. Please come by and treat yourself to the Butchers son.
